HYPAR

HYPAR is an improvisation duo created by Clara Torner (cello) and Gerard Erruz (live electronics), working in the field of experimental music, free improvisation, ambient and noise, using both contemporary music techniques and digital media.

Their live performances create a dialogue between ambient and instrumental sounds through the concept of mimesis. The nuances, metamorphoses and tensions that emerge from this dialogue are further explored, creating a world that delves into the experience of dreams and memory. The context of free improvisation is an open door to unpredictable outcomes resulting from spontaneous reactions and interactions between the performers.

This project received a Grant for research and innovation in the fields of visual arts, architecture and design, performing arts, music and thought 2023 (Generalitat de Catalunya)
